PASC TRIP POLICY
Registering For A Trip:
Seniors should register for trips with the PASC receptionist located on the first floor of the Pottstown Area Seniors' Center - 724 N. Adams Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 or by calling 610-323-5009. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. All details regarding the trip (including transportation pickup / drop off locations and times of departure / return) are available from the receptionist. Also, please advise them of any special needs or requests (*also see the section on medical conditions, special needs and disabilities below).
Trips Handled By PASC (day trips etc., some overnight trips)
Deposits and Remaining Balances are due when stated on the trip flyers and signup sheet at the PASC Reception Desk. They vary in price by trip. Note: There will be no refunds beyond five (5) weeks prior to the event date unless PASC cancels the event or you can bring in a paying replacement at the time of your cancelling.
Trips Handled By A Travel Agency (overnight trips, overseas trips etc.)
If a trip is to be handled directly by a travel agent (as some of the cruises are, for instance) then you should come in to pick up their registration form (if they provide one, they usually do). A deposit will be required of all persons when registering for a trip. The total payment must be made by the due date stated by the travel agency or other party running the trip. These dates vary with each trip and each agency. Refunds on trip payments will be granted in accordance with the rules and requlations of the travel agency or other party running the trip in question. Again, these dates vary with each trip and each agency so please inquire as to what those particular rules and regulations are for the trip you are interested in. Trip insurance, when available, is strongly recommended. Note: Refunds cannot be transferred to other trips.
* Medical Conditions/Illnesses/Disabilities
When booking onto a trip, be it a day trip or an overnighter, please let us know if you have any medical conditions, illnesses or disabilities which may interfere with your enjoying the trip or could pose a potentially serious problem to yourself or others while en route. While our staff is CPR-trained, they cannot anticipate every type of medical emergency and cannot even properly plan for one if you don’t tell us about your condition before-hand. We try to make every accommodation possible to ensure enjoyment for all our seniors and will work with you if you have a special situation but we have to think of everyone and if a surprise medical emergency arises which could not be anticipated because of sensitivity to divulging personal medical information, not only could it threaten your life but it serves to disrupt the trip for your fellow seniors.
